"Representing over 413,000 career and technical education students and teachers, SkillsUSA chapters thrive in middle schools, high schools and college/postsecondary institutions nationwide. Our mission is accomplished through the SkillsUSA Framework of Personal Skills, Workplace Skills and Technical Skills Grounded in Academics, which is integrated into classroom curriculum."
Our SkillsUSA Chapter was established in 2013 as a competition only chapter. During the 2019-2020 school year, we became what we call a fully functioning chapter, as we work through the entire Program of Work and participate in the Chapter Excellence Program annually. Our members have continued to grow over the years and now sit in the hundreds.. As a chapter, we provide community service, personal and professional development, and social opportunities. We emphasize and integrate the SkillsUSA Framework in our chapter, school, and classrooms. We participate in annual local, state, and national competitions in many different areas of concentration. Our chapter has a strong partnerships with our local industry, community, and alumni. During four of the last five years, our chapter was named a National Model of Excellence chapter, making us one of the top 24 chapters in the nation during those years. We have also had many national placers over the last few years and stake claim to having the first ever National Officer from the state of South Carolina.
Please take the time to look through all our chapter has to offer and how you can get involved to help build America's Future Workforce. We update frequently, so be sure to bookmark us, follow us on social media, and visit frequently!
