The ASVAB is a multi-aptitude test, which is given at more than 14,000 schools nationwide and is developed and maintained by the Defense Department (DoD). It measures a student’s strengths and potential for success in military training. In addition, the test can be used by students to explore future post-secondary and career opportunities. There are no fees to take the test and no obligation to join the military. DFHS does not release scores to recruiters.
