Job Shadow

What is job shadowing?

Dutch Fork High School students are encouraged to explore career interests by participating in one job shadow experience per semester, as approved by the career specialist. Job Shadow visits allow students to experience first-hand the expectations and responsibilities of a specific career of interest to them.

Follow the directions and procedures on the  Job Shadowing Form  in order to receive an excused absence from school. All shadow requests must be approved prior to the date of the shadow. Students must be in good standing with attendance and grades.

Please pick up an application from Mrs. Hawkins in the Career Center, Room 202. Applications must be submitted one week prior to the date of the job shadow.

Virtual Job Shadow:

Virtual Job Shadow (now Pathful Explore) is an exploration and planning platform that prepares students for college and/or career. By using a combination of interactive tools, assessments, and real-world exploration, students can discover diverse career pathways and chart their individualized path.
