Dutch Fork High School students are encouraged to explore career interests by participating in one job shadow experience per semester, as approved by the career specialist. Job Shadowing allows students to experience first-hand the expectations and responsibilities of a specific career of interest to them.
Follow all directions and procedures on the Job Shadowing Form in order to receive an excused absence from school. All shadow requests must be approved prior to the date of the shadow. Students must be in good standing with attendance and grades.
Please pick up an application packet from Mrs. Hawkins in the Career Center, Room 202. Applications must be submitted at least one week prior to the date of the job shadow. A thank you note and follow-up forms must be turned in two days afterward. If the student fails to turn in these forms, the absence will be unexcused.
**If you're interested in a career in healthcare, you may want to consider Lexington Medical Center's Job Shadow program. For details, please talk to Mrs. Hawkins in the Career Center.** Be advised that the number of spaces available is very limited.
