About
Mr. Rollison

Who is Mr. Rollison?

I am a native of South Carolina and graduated from Irmo HS in 1992.  I attended The Citadel where I received my B.A. in Psychology in 1996.  From there I moved to Florida where I worked for a music company and had the opportunity to work with many of the best middle school and high school bands in south Florida, as well as a few professional bands.  I began teaching in Florida in 2000 and stayed for a few years before moving to Georgia in 2002.  While teaching in Georgia I received my Masters of Education from Troy University and my certification in School Administration and Supervision from the University of West Georgia.  In 2007 I moved back to South Carolina where I taught from 2007-2013 at Pleasant Hill Middle School in Lexington.  In the summer of 2013 I found my new home at Chapin Middle School.  All of my teaching experience has been in 7th and 8th grade.  Needless to say, I am Highly Qualified.

On a more personal note, I am married with 3 kids. My wife is a Digital Integration Specialist (like Mrs. Smith) for our district at Harbison West ES, Oak Point ES, and Dutch Fork ES. My oldest son graduated from SHHS in 2021. My middle son is a Senior at DFHS and plays baseball for them. My daughter is a freshman at SHHS and plays volleyball for DFHS. Most people call me Rolly. I love to spend time with my family, fish, play video games (RPGs mostly), and relax when I can. I love humor and tend to be pretty sarcastic. I am probably one of the most patient people you will ever meet. I like to think things through before jumping to conclusions. Most of all, I like to enjoy life and all it has to offer.
