Ms. Charles

Welcome to Third Grade! This year will be full of learning and growth with plenty of magical touches along the way. 

My name is Brittany Charles and this will be my twelfth year in the classroom. I have taught everything from 4k-3rd and loved seeing the differences in all grades. This is will be my fifth year in Lex Rich 5 and I have been at PWES from the beginning. I find so much joy in coming to school everyday. There really is nothing like the woods. I can't wait to get to know each child as an individual and watch them grow throughout this year and beyond.  This year I will be teaching all things ELA and Social Studies and I am so excited to really dive into learning with focused content areas. 

When I am not at school you can usually find with with friends and family. I have two sons, Emmitt and Bo. Emmitt is a fifth grader and Bo will be in third grade. My husband Derrik and I have been married for nine years. He works downtown at Amarok Securities as a project manager.  I come from a family of teachers, it's in our blood. My mom is a preschool teacher, my dad is a professor, and my brother and sister are both high school math teachers. We love going back to Ohio as much as we can to spend time with family.  We love to travel as a family, making memories in different places is a HUGE passion of mine. My favorite place in the world is Walt Disney World and I am there way too often. I also enjoy days at the beach, binging my favorite shows on Netflix and Soda City Saturdays.
