I was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and later returned to graduate school to complete my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. 

My professional experience includes working at a children’s psychiatric hospital as an activity therapist, where I enjoyed incorporating creativity and expressive arts into therapeutic work with children. I have also coached gymnastics, which further strengthened my passion for supporting and connecting with youth. I completed my internship with the Department of Corrections, gaining experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse, and have since worked in intensive in-home counseling services as well as within school systems. 

I enjoy finding meaningful ways to incorporate art, music, and movement into my therapeutic approach to support students’ emotional and behavioral growth. My past times include reading, solving puzzles, watching horror movies, anime, spending time with my pets, and traveling.
