Parents/guardians cannot join Google Classrooms. However, they may receive daily or weekly summaries from Google Classroom. Contact any teacher to have your email enrolled for these summaries. For more information, see Google's Help article on Classroom Guardian Summaries.
Modern World History: Honors is a college prep course designed to give students a foundational understanding of world history in the modern era (1200-present). Units of study range from Early Empires to Intellectual Revolutions to Globalization in the Modern Era. Students perform a variety of work to strengthen their historical thinking skills. Students in this course can expect to complete work including but not limited to primary and secondary source analyses, argumentative writing, vocabulary work, and assignments that promote critical thinking. As an honors course, students are expected to complete more rigorous work. This includes written assignments, discussion posts, and presentations.Â
