Hello!

Hello! My name is Francisco Hernandez Salgado, at school I go by Mr. Hernandez or Mr. H. I am so excited to be your student's school counselor this year.

I have been a part of the Lexington High School community since 2019, first as one of the School Counseling Interns and now as a member of the school Counseling staff of LHS. I received my Master's degree in School Counseling in May of 2020 and my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction-Secondary Education in May 2014 from Boston College. I also have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Spanish from California State University, East Bay. I believe learning is never-ending and I always want to learn more.

Before coming to Lexington High School, I spent five years teaching Spanish at both the elementary and secondary levels. I also come with three years of admissions experience, both at the Undergraduate and Graduate level, having worked at Emerson College and Boston College’s Lynch School of Education and Human Development. A California transplant, I enjoy the beach and warm weather. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, running, hiking, and exploring Massachusetts with my partner and our golden-doodle Cody.
