Summer Enrichment
The Tufts Summit Program is a 4-week summer program for rising high school juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing their studies in French Language
and International Relations. The program takes place each summer at the Tufts University European Center in Talloires, France. This summer’s Tufts Summit program will take place July 2 – 28, 2023. Tufts Summit students take two courses: International Relations in a Changing World, a course that introduces students to the complex world of international politics and diplomacy, and French Language and Culture, an intensive, interactive French language course that helps students improve their comprehension and expression. These courses are complemented by excursions to the nearby cities of Lyon, France and Geneva, Switzerland, which connect them in real time with the work they are doing in their classes.
Students also have the opportunity to explore the stunning natural backdrop of the French Alps with group hikes into the countryside.
Students live with carefully selected host families, most often with another Tufts Summit student. The host family accommodation provides our Tufts Summit students with daily opportunities to improve their French language skills.
