The hackathon is now over and projects are visible on the results page. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Nothing! Registering and attending is free, and you gain lots of experience and get to fill up some empty time :)
A computer, reliable internet connection, and creative ideas! For younger students, paper, pencils, markers or other writing utensils and a phone to take a final video for submission.
All students need parental consent to join.
The purpose of this event is to come up with ideas to help solve the problems COVID19 is posing to the community. Your solution doesn’t need to be a software one!
Drawings, models or presentations of a well thought out idea are much better than a fully developed application of a weaker idea.
Everyone will submit a video explaining their solution, whether you are coding or not. We invite you to try learning simple coding languages such as Scratch, or show how your idea works in many other ways!
You can organize a meeting using any communication platform on your own, or we will have a Google Hangouts that will connect everyone participating.
No worries! You can participate individually or we can help you find a team!
As large as you want!
You have a maximum of 2 days, April 25-26th. Your project must be submitted before 11:59PM on Sunday. But, you can start thinking and chatting with your teammates at any time!
The final product is a video submission, which must be submitted by midnight on Sunday, April 26 through the google form for submissions.
Yes! There is no restriction on what coding language/platform you can use.

Here are some sample ideas to help you get started!
Sample Idea #1: A face shield that automatically sanitizes itself
Sample Idea #2: A robot that buys groceries for you
Sample Idea #3: An AI chatbot that can help people get more information about the pandemic and how to stay safe
However, there are many more ideas that you can pursue! There may be some resources online for problems from the pandemic that need solutions.
