Assignments, materials, and announcements are regularly posted on the Google Classroom site. Progress in the course is viewable to both students and guardians through the Aspen student and family portals.
Dr. Kilts has been teaching at the high school level for 18 years, with 16 of those years spent teaching at LHS and two years (2017-2019) spent teaching at public high schools in Japan. She has been teaching the CE Physics course (or its predecessors) for several years using a flipped classroom approach (more info in this 2-min video or on Wikipedia) which naturally lends itself to nurturing a variety of incoming skill levels and learning paces.
Dr. Kilts earned her bachelor's degree in Physics (with a minor in Astronomy) from MIT, has a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Physics from Bridgewater State University, and a Doctorate in Education from Northeastern University.
