Grade Five Nature Walkers explore ecosystems. They will explore and record in a forest ecosystem, observe interactions and interdependence in this system and discover the cyclic nature of the food/energy cycle. Students begin to understand that an ecosystem is a continually changing process of interdependence between plants, animals, fungi, and non-living things. In addition the students are introduced to scientific journaling.
