Science Olympiad is a competitive STEM activity. Each year, 23 events are offered. Each student competes in 3-4 events that span a wide range of STEM topics. Events are categorized as study events (tests), lab events (hands-on investigations), building events (construction of devices or structures), or hybrid events (combination of other types). Emphasis is placed on teamwork and real-world applications. The state competition is in March. More information can be found on the Science Olympiad official website.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM: Join the Sci Oly 2024 G.Class (Google Classroom) during the Info Session or after Sept 27, and have access to everything discussed and/or shown at the Info Sessions.
TRYOUT PREPARATION: Participation strongly encouraged -- up-to-date info will be posted in the G.Class.

We are STEM enthusiasts in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Our teams rely on the help of many parents, teachers, alumni, and community members to help students prepare for their competitions!
Diamond is one of two middle schools in Lexington, Massachusetts. We serve about 920 students in grades 6,7, and 8. Our school is named after William Diamond, who was the drummer that summoned the Lexington militia to battle on April 19, 1775.
