ATTENDANCE
ATTENDANCE
Rehearsals take place on Thursdays from 4:30-6:00 PM at The Pilgrim Congregational Church UCC (55 Coolidge Ave, Lexington, MA 02420).
As a Children's Community Chorus singer, consistent attendance at our rehearsals is expected. We will not be able to make as much progress as a community of singers if we are missing many singers each week! If frequent absences occur, Ms. Carpenter will set up a family meeting to discuss options.
Additionally, for us to give the strongest performance as a choral ensemble, it is also expected that every CCC singer participates in our concerts. Please save our Winter and Spring Concert dates on your calendar!
As CCC operates under Lexington Community Education/Lexington Public Schools, your child must be fever-free without medication for 24 hours to attend the rehearsal. Should your singer wish to wear a mask to rehearsals/concerts, they will absolutely be supported in that choice. If your singer needs to miss rehearsals due to COVID or any illness, please email Mrs. Carpenter and she will work with your singer and provide possible accommodations.
REHEARSAL EXPECTATIONS
Singing as a COMMUNITY is so fun! Here's how you can help us have productive rehearsals every Thursday:
Be on time to each rehearsal!
Bring your music folder, pencil, and a bottle of water to every rehearsal!
Bring your best positive attitude toward learning to every rehearsal!
BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS
Every CCC singer is an important member of our special team. All singers are expected to remain on their best behavior during rehearsals and performances. With a large group of students participating, paying attention when the adults in charge are speaking is critical. Singers are expected to come to each rehearsal with a positive attitude, be ready to learn, and of course, have fun! Consistent behavior issues may lead to having a family meeting to discuss options.
