Summer Reading
Summer Reading
Please see this letter for more information about Lexington School District One summer reading expectations.
This summer, every LSDO high school student should self-select and read at least one book. When students return to school in August, teachers will use students’ summer reading experiences to begin building a community of readers who share and talk about books. Students may also be invited to participate in a schoolwide reading celebration. Click on the 'Read It' tab to learn more about WKHS ebook and digital audiobook resources. You may also use this link to browse additional resources to support your summer reading.
This summer, all WKHS staff are encouraged to read Young Adult (YA) literature. When staff returns to school in August, we will use summer reading experiences to begin building a community of readers who share and talk about books. Participating certified staff can earn up to 25 recertification points when they complete this form* for each book read (limit 5 books).
*Highly recommend reviewing the form before beginning a book. An additional 6 points are available by completing the Beanstack challenge through your Classlink Launchpad.
Earn prizes while reading this summer! More information here: https://lexcolibrary.com/summerreading/
