APPLICATION & RECOMMENDATIONS

Due Monday, May 11, 11:59 PM

Submit your application and make sure your references have submitted your letter of recommendation by May 11. See the "Application" tab for this information.

Step 2:

AUDITION PRACTICE

Monday, May 11 - Thursday, May 14 | 4:00-5:30

Arrive a few minutes before 4:00 to sign in and get your audition number. Be on the Dance Room floor by 4:00 ready for warm-up. Warm-up will be 4:00-4:15. Choreography will be taught from 4:15-5:15. Closing comments will take place 5:15-5:30.

Monday: Jazz taught by alumn Malika

Tuesday: Hip Hop taught by alumni Ayana and Abby

Wednesday: Pom taught by 2026 graduates Makaila and Zoe

Thursday: Lyrical taught by 2026 graduate Madi

If you have a conflict with any of these dates or times, please contact Coach Hartman to set up an alternative.

Step 3:

SCORED AUDITIONS

Friday, May 15 | 5:00-finish

Arrive by 4:45 to sign in and warm up. Performances will begin promptly at 5. Students will perform all three combinations for the judges in small groups. They will perform in numerical order based on the audition numbers they were assigned on Monday.

ATTIRE

You must wear movable attire every day of auditions. This includes leggings or athletic shorts and a t-shirt or tank top. Absolutely no jeans. Hair must be pulled back. Dancers will be given an audition number that they must wear every day of auditions. Jazz shoes and lyrical shoes are fine, but socks will work if you don't have these. Tennis shoes are allowed for hip-hop only.

JUDGING

The first priority in determining a dancer's eligibility for White Knoll Dance Company are the results of the dancer's Letter of Recommendation. The next priority is the scoring of live movement auditions. All of your live combinations will be scored by three guest judges. The dancers with the highest averages with an approved Letter of Recommendation will be those considered for White Knoll Dance Company.

RESULTS

The 2026-2027 White Knoll Dance Company will be announced via social media approximately a week following auditions. Follow on Instagram at @wk_dance_co to see results. All dancers will also receive an email with a summary of their judges' feedback.
