weekend snack packs

Our department has partnered with Lexington United Methodist Church to offer a confidential program, which provides snacks for students to take home at the end of each week. This program is intended to provide families who may be going through some financial hardship with healthy snacks for their children.

If you would like your child to receive a weekend snack pack, please reach out to a counselor for a sign-up form.

👝  Snack Packs typically include items such as instant oatmeal and grits, granola bars, apple sauce, ramen noodles, mac and cheese, fruit snacks, etc. Contents may vary based on item availability.

School-Based therapist

Ms. Riley Goldstein will be serving SGE students as our School-Based Mental Health Therapist through Lexington County Community Mental Health. This service provides long-term therapy to our students, year-round.

If you would like to set up services with LCCMH, please contact your child's school counselor for more information, or visit the clinic at 305 Palmetto Park Blvd, Lexington, SC 29072.

Lexington One also partners with LifeChanges, Dickerson Children's Advocacy Center, Pathways to Healing and CareSolace to meet the mental health needs of our students. Please reach out to your child's school counselor to learn more about these services.

Family liaison

Please welcome our new Family Liaison, Ms. Ketsie Merizalde! Ms. Amy Shearer will still be supporting SGE and all district Family Liaisons at the district level. School Counselors work closely with our Family Liaison to help parents and families in all aspects of their child's education.

To learn more about how Ketsie can assist your family, feel free to call her at 803-821-1427 or send her an email at kmerizalde@lexington1.net

school social worker

Mr. Deron Chisolm is our district-level Social Worker who serves the SGE attendance area. He is a great help to our team as he's able to provide additional resources to the families of our school. Mrs. Alma Puente Ruiz is another district Social Worker who assists our Spanish-speaking families.

Please reach out to your child's school counselor for a social work referral, or to learn how our social workers assist Lexington One families.
