The High School Diploma Replacement Office Maintains High School diplomas (no transcripts) for all public high schools and adult education programs.
Replacement South Carolina High School Diplomas Replacement are provided upon request for a fee of ten dollars for mail-in requests and five dollars for a walk-in request. There are two ways to obtain a replacement diploma.
Visit 1401 Senate Street, Columbia, SC 29201, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of state and federal holidays. A payment of five dollars by cash, money order or cashier’s check is required. No personal check may be accepted.
Complete and mail the required Replacement Diploma form, along with a payment of ten dollars by cashier’s check or money order to the South Carolina Department of Education, 1429 Senate Street, Mail Room Box High School Replacement Diploma, Columbia, South Carolina 29201. No personal checks may be accepted. Cash will be accepted, but the High School Diploma Replacement Office assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail.
The fee for mail in requests for a replacement diploma is $10.00 for mail-in requests and $5.00 for a walk-in request, per duplicate diploma. This is a non-refundable research processing fee. The fee for mail-in fax request is $5.00 and a walk-in request for a fax is $3.00 per fax. Duplicate diploma requests will take 2-3 weeks to process. All requests are processed in the order in which they are received. Please ONLY call the office to verify if we received your request after 10 business days. This will only delay our response time.
