The Hippo Family Club organizes “Multilingual Nature Camps” annually in Japan and around the world.

At these camps, participants from around the world gather and interact in the great outdoors.  People of all ages, genders, and nationalities come together with “multilingualism” at the core.

In 2008, we launched the “Asian Multilingual Youth Camp in Shanghai,” hoping that young people from China, Korea, Japan, and other Asian countries would cultivate future-oriented friendships.  Since then, we have organized camps in Thailand and Malaysia and now host them in China, Mongolia, Indonesia, and Japan.  We plan to continue organizing camps around the world.

The unique feature of the “Multilingual Nature Camps” is that participants form groups and stay together at a guesthouse or on a deserted island, growing close like one big family.  In addition to free play in nature, participants suggest activities they want to do, shaping their own camp experience.

This will surely open up a whole new world for everyone!
