Reminders for using an FM system in the classroom
Remember to take it off or set it to mute if you leave the classroom or have a conversation with another adult; remember to mute it if you go to the bathroom!
You do not need to speak louder or exaggerated when you speak with the student.
If you are showing a video, make sure the captions/subtitles are on and set the microphone near the speaker.
If a student is working with a group, sit the microphone in the middle of the group or have the students take turn using it. If another student is giving a report to the rest of the class, that student can wear it.
There is an audio cord that can be connected to the computer into the transmitter (microphone).
Support advocacy development and have the student take responsibility for giving it to you in the morning and plugging it up at the end of the day to charge.
Feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions.
