Welcome to Project Lead the Way Design & Modeling!
The Project Lead the Way organization provides curriculum that focuses on connecting students to real-world learning experiences and empowering them to grow skills required to succeed in college, careers and beyond. The (PLTW) Design & Modeling class is meant to generate the interest and energy of middle school students while incorporating national standards in math, science, and technology. It is a hands-on, project and problem-based program, which shows students how technology is used in engineering to solve everyday problems. The program motivates students to use their imaginations and teaches them to be creative and innovative, while gaining the skills they need to develop, produce and use products and services. This class is great for students considering any career in the Engineering Cluster.
The students will work in a Computer Lab and must remember the Computer Lab is still a classroom. Students will be expected to follow the same rules enforced in other classrooms. Most importantly students should:
Be mindful (of classmates' opinions and ideas, other students' materials and projects)
Be ready (to learn, growing up around technology does not create a technology expert)
Please take a moment to review the Syllabus. If you have questions please feel free to contact me, email is best. Looking forward to a great school year.
