Welcome to 6th Grade ELA!
This is my second year at Northside Middle, and my 4th year teaching overall. I am a graduate of USC with a Bachelor of English degree as well as Masters of Teaching degree. My Master's degree focused on Secondary Education, and I had planned to teach high school until I fell in love with middle school!
We know that this year will present new challenges and opportunities that we haven't experienced before, and we are all learning together! It is important now, more than ever, that we all work as a team (teachers, parents, and students) and communicate with each other about what we need.

Tutoring and Office Hours:
Wednesdays: Office Hours are 1:45-2:45.
I will also do my best to respond to emails as I get them throughout the day.
I will be hosting a GoogleMeet from 1:45-2:45 every Wednesday for you to join if you need help completing work, or have a question about how to do an assignment.
Your Virtual Days: Office Hours are 3:15-3:45 (No Google Meet, unless previously scheduled.)
Remember, while you are at home working Virtually, I am still teaching another group of students!
I will do my best to respond to questions over email, but I may not have a chance to check emails until my planning period.
My planning period is from 1:30pm-3:00pm.
Some days, I will have meetings during my planning period, but if you need extra help, we may be able to schedule a 1 on 1 Google Meet during my planning.
On Your Days at School: Office Hours are 3:15-3:45 (No Google Meet, unless previously scheduled.)
Homeroom/ILT (from when you are dismissed from the gym/cafeteria at 7:45-8:40) is the BEST time to see your teachers for extra help!
Ask your homeroom teacher for a pass to come see me, and I will be glad to help!
If you think you need more time than that, email me, and we will work out a time.
