Bell Schedule for Face to Face Instruction Days
Students can report to their homeroom as early as 7:55.
Students should be in their 1st period classroom by 8:20 to be marked present and on time.
ILT= "Independent Learning Time"- That means students will use that time to get help from a teacher, complete assignments and projects, study for upcoming tests, complete missing work, etc.
What should I expect for Virtual instruction days?
This will look a little different for each class based on the teacher and the subject, but here is what you can expect:
Teachers will post assignments on GoogleClassroom by 8:00 am on your virtual days.
The assignment will typically include:
a short instructional video and/or a GoogleSlides presentation with directions and expectations
Independent practice or independent activities for students to complete before their next Face to Face Instruction Day.
What if I have a question for my teacher during Virtual Instruction?
Remember, while you are at home, your teacher has another group of students in their class, so they will not be able to answer emails immediately throughout the day.
Teachers will have regular office hours to answer questions and assist with Virtual Learning assignments.

What supplies do I need to bring to school?
Don't forget to have your charged Chromebook every day!
School Wide Policies:
Grade Weights
Classwork - 50% (notebook checks, graphic organizers, foldables, art pieces, PE participation, worksheets, labs, etc.)
Major Assessments - 30% (summative assessments, unit tests, portfolios, extended writings, projects, etc.)
Minor Assessments - 20% (quizzes, minor writings, etc.)
Late Work Policy
Students will have the opportunity to makeup assignments as follows:
If a student has an excused absence (virtually or face-to-face), he/she will have the number of days absent to make up the work (once assigned) for full credit. For example, if a student is absent for one day and the absence is excused, he/she will have one day to make up the work for full credit. If a student is absent for three days and the absences are excused, he/she will have three days to make up the work for full credit.
Students who are present (virtually or face-to-face) but do not turn in assignments on time will be allowed to make up work. There will be a 10% reduction in points per school day after the due date to the final grade earned, with a maximum of 50% reduction in points. Late work will be accepted up until five school days prior to the end of the academic quarter. Similar assignments may be given in lieu of the original assignment at the discretion of the teacher in the event completing the original assignment is not feasible or would not result in a valid grade.
Reassessment Policy
Students will have the opportunity to earn mastery on major and minor assessments (within the academic quarter in which they were administered). Mastery is considered to be 70%, which is a C on the grading scale. Students should schedule reassessment opportunities during tutoring, ILT or other time arranged with the teacher. It is at the discretion of the classroom teacher on the format of the reassessment for mastery, which may include test corrections (with evidence/explanations), an assessment similar to the original or an alternate assessment. It is up to the classroom teacher if virtual reassessments will be allowed. All reassessments must be completed five school days prior to the end of an academic quarter.
