Did you know we're open during NEST and lunch?
You're welcome to visit the library during NEST or lunch. You can even bring in your lunch and use our microwave. Respect for yourself, others, and the library space is required. Remember, you still need a SmartPass to visit during NEST and lunch if you're coming from the cafeteria!

We have board games, puzzles, and other activities for in-library use. Stop by to join in on the fun and experience all your School Library Media Center has to offer!

Want a book we don't have?

Request it by clicking here!

We want to offer books you want to read. We will do our best to order a book you request as long as it is age-appropriate and available for an affordable price.

If we are able to acquire a book you have requested, we will let you know as soon as it arrives. The book will be held for you for three days to give you the first chance to read the library's new addition!

Public Library

Want a book we can't get?

Check out the LexCo Public Library!

In some cases, due to state law or other factors, we may not be able to offer a certain book or material in our school library.

The Lexington County Public Library (LCPL) system is a great resource and may have a book we don't! LCPL also offers programs throughout the week including college prep programs, crafting, role playing games, and book clubs!

The AHS Library has LCPL library card applications. Students are welcome to stop by and pick one up. Once your application has been processed, your new public library card will be delivered to you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the library have the book I’m looking for?

Maybe! You can search the catalog, Destiny, to find out. Just go to ClassLink > Destiny Discover and search by title, author, or topic!

Do you charge late fees?

No! The only reason you would be charged for a material is if it is lost or damaged beyond repair. If you have extenuating circumstances, please come talk to us and we can discuss your situation.

What should I do if I'm having issues with my Chromebook, logins, or other technology issues?

Does the library have any clubs I can join?

Yes! We currently offer a book club, crochet club, 3D print club, and "Book Buddies" club. Check out our Clubs page for more information!
