First, how is your attendance? Attendance is a key factor to being successful in any class.
Are you completing daily homework? Are you using the text as a possible resource? Practice makes perfect. The more you practice, the more familiar you will be with the material. It is extremely difficult to be successful in math without doing the practice.
Have you talked to the teacher? Make plans to see me OR any other math teacher to figure out what specific problems you are having. Do not wait too long to do this...if you are having difficulty understanding a concept seek help immediately. That one concept will probably be used throughout the unit.
Have you taken advantage of retake opportunities? See the syllabus/guidelines for specifics.
There will be opportunities for test score improvements but whether the math department does retakes or test corrections is still undecided.
My weekly availability is posted on the front board. On the days I am available it is only after school, not before school, from 2:45 to 3:45.
BEFORE leaving school...open the YouTube video. Then, in the browser box, add "ss" before the word youtube...see example below.
This will direct you to "Save from Net". Click on MP4 720p or "download" and you will get a choice of where to save the video on your Chromebook. Usually the video is saved to your Google Files. To find Google Files go to the "search" or magnifying glass in lower left corner, click on "all apps", find "Files".
1. Find the video you want to download and use two fingers (right click) to bring up "Copy URL"
2. Open a new tab
3. Go to keepvid.com
4. In the box, paste (using two fingers) the video URL that you copied, hit "download" at the end of the box.
5. Select the video quality (Download MP4 << 720p) -- Make sure you DO NOT click on a format for audio only or video only. Download should begin.
6. Find the "files" app on your Chromebook. Your video should be here in the downloads section :)
BEFORE you leave your WiFi area, bring the picture/page that you want to save up on your screen. At the same time hold down the Ctrl key and F5. This will save a picture on your Chromebook. Continue this process until you have pictures of all the pages that you need.
Completely log out of your Chromebook AND Google. You will know if you did this correctly if you see the U.S. in the bottom right corner of your screen. Login to Google and try again :) OR don't forget you can also try a different computer at home. This info is not tied to just your Chromebook.
