Is there a summer reading assignment this year?
There is no summer reading assignment this year for students entering kindergarten through fifth grade.
Instead, it is our hope that this website encourages your child to read something new, while fostering a love of reading.
If you would like your child to log the books they are reading, you can have them fill out the reading log below. Please have them bring it to school with them when they return in September- We'd love for their teacher to acknowledge their hard work!Â
My child doesn't have a library card. How can we get one?
Getting a library card from the Levittown Public Library is easy! Students who live in the Levittown School District (ages birth-grade 5) may receive a children's library card. A parent must accompany the child to the library, providing proof of identity and residency. Acceptable forms of identification include:
New York State Driver's License or Permit
New York State Vehicle Registration
Current Utility Bill
Bank or checking statement
If you have any questions regarding what information you need to bring, you may call the Levittown Public Library at 516-731-5728.
Nassau Digital Doorway- What is it?
With just your library card, both you and your child have access to thousands of e-books, audiobooks, and even magazines! Just as you go to the library to take books out, you can easily "borrow" these materials using your library card number.
To make this process easier, consider downloading Libby from Apple's app store or through Google Play.
