From logo making to brochures to creative PowerPoint-like presentations, Canva has it all. This platform has been such a useful tool to me as it has been what I use for almost every other activity that we have been tasked to do so far. As a platform, Canva also runs on user-generated content as there are a plethora of templates to choose from, as well as fonts, and graphics supplied by both Canva and users alike.
As a student, this is your one-stop shop for all your needs in school, so be sure to use your school-provided email if you have one and make full use of Canva's amazing arsenal of tools at your disposal.
For me, I think Facebook is one of the best and most versatile social media platforms in terms of community-finding, community trends, and connection-finding. Navigating Facebook is also not as much of a challenge as the UI (User Interface) as it is very user-friendly and simplified for mass consumption much like Meta's other platforms like Instagram and Threads.
On Facebook, you can use it in a multitude of ways. Such as using it to communicate your actual feelings via emojis or statuses, you can post and share both videos and images and show your appropriate reactions via the reaction tab and comment section. Facebook also has restrictions in place for what a user can or cannot say so anybody wishing ill on you may be restricted or suspended. Just be careful, they might be smart enough to bypass it by censoring themselves though. Information sharing is also very easy to do as the algorithm and your home page can bring you the latest posts from the people you follow very easily on there.
Google Drive is one of Google's premiere cloud computing software as it has taken the world by storm and has become one of the most used cloud computing applications worldwide. With its simple and easy-to-follow format, users can have an easy time disseminating and controlling which files to share whenever and wherever given an internet connection.
For me, Google Drive has been especially helpful this year as we, members of the Broadcast Media Club have been tasked to document the recently concluded 2023 Intramurals. Not only that, it has been very helpful in organizing which files we can use in whatever PeTa (Performance Task) we have been given involving multimedia projects. Although you only have 15GB worth of storage, that is still a lot. So make the most of it and enjoy all of its features as it also contains your files on your other Google platforms like Sheets or Docs.
