MANILA, Philippines — The Letran Senior High School Department ushered this year’s first-ever Robotics Workshop with the theme “Robotics Innovation Expo: Hands-on Tech Experience with Felta Multi-Media Inc.” on November 27 at the Balagtas Hall, St. Dominic de Guzman Building.
The Expo included 2 batches that started with an introduction of the speakers Mr. John Paul Obin and Ms. Bhea Lyn Arpon, Felta’s industry experts, as they gave a hands-on seminar on robotics to selected STEM students.
“Lego Spike can be a great head start and stepping stone as students apply robotics to real-world situations,” Mr. Obin said in his talk.
The workshop also highlighted the background of Felta and the competitions they held, including the Philippines’ Robotics Olympiad, First Lego League Philippines, and a breakdown of the Lego Education Spike Prime.
“Robotics can help shape and make our lives easier as it challenges students to think outside the box,” stated by Ms. Kate Maybelle Ramos, a STEM student and participant of the said event.
As culmination to the workshop, the attendees contended in a quick friendly race, battling their robots after the workshop.
