Purple Ocean: Letran Staff Join In “Squad Game” for Women’s Month Celebration

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Inter-department personnel and students of the Colegio came together to compete in ”One in Motion: Squad Game Letran Edition” to officially kick off the Women’s Month celebration at the Salon de Actos, this Friday, March 7, 2025.

This month is dedicated to the amazing women of our lives and history, invigorating their memory and contributions will never go unheard and celebrated.

With the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” employees showcased their dedication and drive to win along with the importance of harmony with colleagues.

To open the games and booths, the opening remarks were delivered by the Gender and Development Chairperson and SHS Principal, Ms. Geraldine Lagmay, through Ms. Maria Eliza Bello, STEM Coordinator.

After this, the hosts introduced six stations with their own designated Filipino classic mini-games such as Sipa, Pogs, Tumbang Preso, Jackstone, and others.

“We are brought together to honor the legacy of all women across all sectors of society,” stated Mr. Christian Reyes, aligning with this year’s theme.

After the games, winners were announced by Ms. Ruth Mandig to which the Purple, Yellow, and Green teams were respectively hailed as the first, second, and third place winners.

Prior to this, a mass was held to formally signify the start of the Women’s Month celebration.
