Pasay City Hall opened its doors to the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) students of Letran Senior High School as they officially signed a partnership agreement with the SHS department on Thursday, January 24, in connection with the students’ work immersion program.
With the help of the Letran SHS Parent Association, the city's Local Government Unit gave their commitment in supporting the deployment of students at their ICT office.
"This collaboration will allow them to gain hands-on experience and learn directly from seasoned IT professionals in the field," says Mr. Jerry Escultura, the SHS Work Immersion Coordinator.
Moreover, he said that during the students’ immersion, they would have an opportunity to assist in different projects that are aligned with their strand.
Following this, Mr. Escultura also explained that the students who would be sent to the job site would undergo a rigorous selection process to filter out the best candidates possible.
"Factors such as academic performance, interview results, and conduct will be evaluated. Only two students per batch will be selected for this valuable opportunity," he added.
Selected students will start to be deployed next month.
