Students across different strands were treated to an exciting Senior High School week finale as they participated in an Ultimate Race Challenge last October 29, at the college grounds of Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
Out of the eight teams that joined the challenge, three groups managed by Mr. John Cris Tababa, Mr. Michael John Malaque, and Mr. Roliezon Tagaytay were hailed as the first, second, and third place respectively.
“Actually, mahirap, dahil pabago-bago, may mga unexpected team member changes and circumstances. But, I think… tama yung mga napili kong grupo and I am proud of what have they done and congratulations of all,” said Mr. Tababa
Furthermore, one of his members, Stephen Ray Pastrana, stated that the familiarity of members with each other, connection, and proper communication have been their strengths and strategies to win the game.
“Masaya po, most especially that we managed to gather and unite all of the different sections and strands. Teamwork had been the key para po matapos namin yung task nang sama-sama and successful,” Pastrana explained.
The event features eight different stations equipped with challenges that were based off the subjects taken by the SHS students.
Each team was assigned a specific station that would serve as their starting point and from there, they would have to collect flags from all the other stations by completing the task that will be given to them.
“Sa second floor challenge po na may bola and strings na naka-attach, pag may natumba kasi mag sosolve ka ng math, eh hindi naman ako marunong ng math. So, dun siguro ako nahirapan,” Chloe Denisse Salas from team six stated.
The top three teams were recognized and awarded with certificates and cash prizes during the culmination activity later that day.
