Administrators, students, and employees of Letran Manila gathered at the St. Thomas Grounds for the blessing and opening of BAZAAR: Uma-ARRIBAng Kabuhayan, marking the beginning of a five-day celebration of Colegio Week 2024 last November 24, 2024.
The grand inauguration featured the opening of various booths, food stalls, and an exciting OpenMic event, offering a vibrant mix of entertainment and community spirit.
The highlight of the event was the ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the official start of the festivities. It was officiated by an opening prayer led by Rev. Fr. Beejay Namuag, O.P., the Vice President for Finance, followed by a special blessing of the booths conducted by Rev. Fr. Raymund Jose, O.P.
Joined by administrators, faculty, and students, Rev. Fr. Jose led the ceremonial cut, ushering in the fun-filled activities and interactive booths.
In his remarks, Rev. Fr. Namuag emphasized the significance of performing one’s work with excellence as a way to honor God’s creation and foster charity.
“If we do our work well, whatever it may be, and offer it to God, it purifies ourselves. Our work enables us to practice charity and support the less fortunate,” he said.
He also encouraged everyone to actively participate in the week’s activities, reinforcing the importance of giving back and contributing to the community’s welfare.
“Join us and raise our spirits, redeeming our love for the Lord and each other. We pray that His blessings be upon those who work in this place,” Fr. Namuag added.
The BAZAAR: Uma-ARRIBAng Kabuhayan event served as one of this year’s festivities commemorating the 404th anniversary of Letran’s founding.
