A Little About Mrs. Horgan

After a few years spent in North Carolina, I grew up right here in LeRoy & graduated from LeRoy High School in 1991. After graduating from SUNY Brockport with a BS in Health Science & UB with a Masters in Exercise Science (& a lot of moves in between!), my husband Dan (also a LeRoy grad) & I settled back in LeRoy. Our daughter Ava is a 2019 LeRoy grad, 2022 Canisius College grad & current law student at Pepperdine University. We have 2 dogs, Winnie & Gracie  & a cat Dora.

I taught health for 13 years in the Fairport Central School District prior to coming to LeRoy in 2015. I have taught all levels of health, from elementary up to high school, as well as special education & Alternative High School health classes. I also currently co-teach Psychology 101 & Sociology 101 as hybrid electives through GCC. Prior to teaching I worked as an exercise physiologist at Buffalo General Hospital and Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong.

In my spare time I love to read, travel, & just be active outdoors.  I am a Student Council advisor & a Sophomore Class advisor. Outside of school, I am on the advisory board & volunteer for the Western New York Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders.

I am beyond excited to be teaching in LeRoy - it is always great to go home!
