With just one week to half term, we are rounding off a number of our topics - in Science and History - for example. Who can believe that we are almost half way through the academic year! History this half term, in particular, has been eye-opening for many of the children. Our Homefront workshop was thoroughly enjoyed by all! To make it a success, thank you so much to the parents who gave up their time to join us, those that transformed their children into 1940s evacuees and to those who allowed their children to bring in precious family memorabilia. Our English writing has mirrored this topic; we've written formal and informal wartime diary entries and now a balanced argument is underway. In Maths, we have moved from ratios to algebra. The children have continued to have hands on experience of making buzzers reverberate around the classroom (oh joy!) and using fruit as batteries in our topic, electricity. We've learned to count in Spanish and honed our accents a little more. Our mini-world light boxes are taking shape and, in computing, the children have been coding games. As it is fast approaching, we hope that you have a restful half term.
With best wishes,
Ms MacFarlane, Ms Clemson and Mrs Povey
