Foundation Stage staff meet families prior to children starting school, usually in Nursery or Reception to gain a full understanding of the whole child. This also gives an opportunity for parents to share valuable information and promote a relaxed entry through familiarity to starting school as well as help build a positive relationship between school and home.
We recognise the following benefits of this:
Building relationships.
Linking the child’s learning from home and the setting.
Assist parents/carers and staff to observe and gain understanding of their child’s skills/interest.
The gathering of information.
Smoother transition.
Home visits will take place from Tuesday 4th September to Monday 9th September 2024.
You will receive an email with your allocated date and time for your visit. We request that you please arrange for your child and yourselves to be available for this time slot.

Our policy on school uniform is based on the notion that school uniform:
promotes a sense of pride in the school;
engenders a sense of community and belonging towards the school;
is practical and smart;
identifies the children with the school;
prevents children from coming to school in fashion clothes that could be distracting in class;
makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance;
is regarded as suitable wear for school and good value for money by most parents;
is designed with health and safety in mind
Milk and fruit/vegetables are provided daily for your child. Milk is free for under 5. Once your child turns 5 you will need to register and pay here if you wish for your child to have milk.
Please speak to the school office if your child has any dietary concerns.
Arbor is the system that LEO school uses to manage information. Through this we take registers and manage all the information we hold about out students.
How do Parents use Arbor?
Parents and Carers need to use Arbor to book parents evenings, pay for trips and keep their child's information up to date. Click here for more information about Arbor. Details of how to set up your Arbor account will be sent out to you in September.
Although we encourage children to attend school every day, we realise that sometimes children are unwell and therefore unable to come to school.
If your child is absent from school due to illness or a same day medical appointment, you must complete the google form below by 10:00am on each day of absence. We may contact you for more information or to ask for medical evidence.
At Manor Park we offer wraparound care both before and after school.
The breakfast club runs from 7:30am until the start of school. The cost for a daily session is £6.50
The after school club runs from after school until 6.00pm. The daily session cost is £15.00.
Pupil premium is additional funding allocated to all schools in England to support disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
This budget includes pupils who are currently entitled to free school meals, have been free school meals in the past six years (FSM ‘Ever Six’), children that are cared for or adopted from care and children whose parents are in the armed forces.
