Foundation Stage staff meet families prior to children starting school, usually in Nursery to gain a full understanding of the whole child. This also gives an opportunity for parents to share valuable information and promote a relaxed entry through familiarity to starting school as well as help build a positive relationship between school and home.
We recognise the following benefits of this:

You will receive an email with your allocated date and time for your visit. We request that you please arrange for your child and yourselves to be available for this time slot.
At Manor Park Primary we stagger the start dates for Nursery children as feedback from previous years has confirmed that this process ensures a smooth start to Nursery.
The Nursery class are split in to the groups. Each group has specific dates that they will be attending. An email will be sent out shortly to inform you which session you have been allocated as well as what your staggered start times and dates are.

Wednesday 11th September 2024 - Stay and Play session
Your child’s initial visit will be from 9.00am -10.00 am on this day, where your child can enjoy the environment and provision.(Parents must stay)
Thursday 12th September 2024
Your child’s next visit will be from 9.00am -10.00am where your child can enjoy the environment and provision.
(Parents leave their child)
Friday 13th September 2024 onwards – Full Session
Your child will attend a full time nursery Session 8.55am – 11.30am. You may drop off your child from 8.40am and the register will be taken at 8.55am. There will be a staggered collection from 11.30am to 11.40am. Please come via Myrtle Road gate.

Your child’s next visit will be from 2.15pm -3.15pm where your child can enjoy the environment and provision.

Friday 13th September 2024 onwards – Full Session
Your child will attend a full time nursery Session 12.30pm -3.30pm. You may drop off your child between 12.30pm and 12.40pm. The register will be taken at 12.40pm. There will be a staggered collection from 3.15pm - 3.30pm. All gates and entrances will be open.
30 hours children start dates

Your child’s initial visit will be from 9.00am -10.00 am on this day, where your child can enjoy the environment and provision. (Parents must stay).

30 hour provision children do not attend this day
Friday 13th September 2024 - Start day on their own
Your child’s next visit will be from 8.40am - 11.40am on this day, where your child can enjoy the environment and provision (Parents leave their child).
The gates close and the register is taken at 8.55am. Pick up will be between 11.30am and 11.40am via Myrtle Road.
Monday 16th September 2024 -Lunch at school
Your child will attend a lunch time nursery Session 8.55am – 1.00pm. You may drop off your child from 8.40am and the register will be taken at 8.55am. There will be a staggered collection from 1.00pm to 1.15pm.

If your child is bringing a packed lunch, please remember to provide.
If your child is going home for lunch please collect at 11.30am (you do not need to return back to school on this day)
If your child is having a school Lunch this will be provided for you.
Tuesday 17th September 2024 - Full Session
Your child will attend a full time nursery Session 8.55am – 3.30pm. You may drop off your child from 8.40am and the register will be taken at 8.55am. There will be a staggered collection from 3.15pm to 3.30pm.

If your child is bringing a packed lunch, please remember to provide.
If your child is going home for lunch please collect at 11.30am and return back to school for 12.40pm via Myrtle Road. Please be aware that there is always a 10 minute drop off time from 12.30pm to 12.40pm (The register will be taken at 12.40)

Our policy on school uniform is based on the notion that school uniform:

makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance;
is regarded as suitable wear for school and good value for money by most parents;

Milk and fruit/vegetables are provided daily for your child.
Please speak to the school office if your child has any dietary concerns.

Pupil premium is additional funding allocated to all schools in England to support disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
This budget includes pupils who are currently entitled to free school meals, have been free school meals in the past six years (FSM ‘Ever Six’), children that are cared for or adopted from care and children whose parents are in the armed forces.
