OFSTED
We last had an Ofsted inspection in October 2024 and are delighted that Cheam Fields was graded Outstanding in all areas.
Cheam Fields Primary Academy is where the values of ‘Learning, Excellence and Opportunity’ are not just words but a way of life.'
'The school has created a nurturing and purposeful learning environment which enables staff to provide pupils with important skills for life, such as reading, mathematics and digital literacy. Pupils achieve exceptionally well academically.'
'Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) achieve well because their learning is adapted well. For example, the use of electronic devices provides some pupils with SEND with appropriate adjustments. Staff have the required knowledge and expertise to do this with precision.'

ILLNESS UPDATE
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had lots of questions recently about how long children should stay off school if they have been sick or had diarrhoea.
The NHS guidance regarding illness and school attendance states that children with vomiting or diarrhoea (regardless of the cause) should stay home for at least 48 hours after their last episode to prevent the spread of illness. We know that this may be frustrating, however it is important to prevent the spread of illness within the school community.
Please don’t send your child into school if you know that they have been sick.
Please see the attached poster for information from the NHS regarding when you should keep your child at home.
Kind regards
School Office

CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION
I am writing on behalf of Luke Taylor, our local MP, to invite your students to take part in Luke’s Christmas Card competition for his 2024 Christmas card design.
The Christmas cards will be distributed across the entire constituency, to Luke’s family and to key stakeholders across London and Parliament.
The winning child and runners up will also be given a certificate and a stack of cards to use themselves. We are also planning to host a small event to celebrate their designs.
This is a great opportunity for your pupils to showcase their artistic talent and hopefully just a good bit of Christmas cheer.
Please email your entries to: alice.bridgeswestcott@parliament.uk by midday 11th November 2024. Please provide the entries as a High-Resolution JPEG or PDF.
Please also include each child’s first name, age and school name in the file name.
Kindest regards,
Alice Bridges-Westcott
Chief of Staff for Luke Taylor MP | Sutton and Cheam
