MENTAL HEALTH WEEK AT CHEAM FIELDS
Children's Mental Health Week, running from 5 to 11 February, is a national awareness event aiming to empower, equips and give a voice to all children and young people in the UK

We have been celebrating Mental Health week at Cheam Fields, Reception have been thinking all about their feelings. We discussed how it’s important to talk about how we feel and how we can always talk to an adult. We drew a picture of how we are feeling.
YEAR 3
Year 3 have enjoyed thinking about spending and saving in their Financial Literacy lesson this week and discussing what event they have coming up to save for Leo Maths.
RECEPTION
Reception enjoyed visiting the 'Cheam Fields Greengrocers'. We explored different fruits and vegetables and counted out the correct coins to pay our Year 4 shopkeepers! We took our shopping lists to find the ingredients to make our stir-fry. Reception have had a busy morning preparing the vegetables from the greengrocers for our Chinese New Year stir fry. We have learnt how to cut safely and peel the vegetables. This afternoon we are going to taste them!
SAFER INTERNET DAY
Year 3 joined the Adobe Express live lesson this week for safer internet day. Year 5 students diving into Safer Internet Day! Empowering our future digital citizens with knowledge and skills to navigate the online world safely. Let's promote respect, kindness, and responsible online behaviour. Year 6 have been thinking about positive and negative aspects of AI as part of Safer Internet Day .They had discussions about how the Internet has developed over the past ten years .
Let's explore safely with Hanni! ** Reception had a magical adventure learning about online safety with "Hanni and the Magic Window".
CHINESE NEW YEAR
Gong Xi Fa Cai from our Reception children! They've been exploring Chinese New Year with funky finger chopstick practice & creating fierce dragons! Their curiosity & creativity are shining bright!

YEAR 6 IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM
Bringing learning to life for year 6! After learning about the Battle of Britain in the classroom we are now being amazed by the sight of a spitfire! Year 6 have landed at the Imperial War Museum! Soaking up history & exploring the exhibitions. Fascinating stories & powerful exhibits bringing the past to life.

YEAR 2 BROOKLANDS MUSEUM
To complete their learning on the history of transport, Year 2 are jetting off for a fantastic day at Brooklands Museum! Time for Year 2 to take a walkthrough the Concorde at Brooklands. Year 2 are putting their DT knowledge of wheels, axles and chassis to good use, we are having a great time building our own Peg Racers.
