The Parent Teacher Friends Association (PTFA) is a group of parents, teachers, and friends who work together to raise money for Cheam Fields Primary Academy. The money we raise goes towards things that enhance the children's education and make their school experience more enjoyable. For example, we might fund new playground equipment, trips, or educational resources. We also organise social events for families to get to know each other better.
At Cheam Fields Primary Academy, we're fortunate to have a thriving PTFA (Parent Teacher and Friends Association) that plays a vital role in our school community. Over the years, their incredible fundraising efforts have generated tens of thousands of pounds, directly benefiting our students.
But the PTFA is about more than just fundraising. It fosters strong connections between home and school, providing a wonderful opportunity for staff, parents, and friends to come together socially and work towards a shared goal: supporting Cheam Fields Primary Academy. It's also a lot of fun! Just ask any of the committee members or volunteers.

Over the past few years the PTFA have helped to fund:
A new shelter in the playground.
New scooter and bike rack.
A new trolley for the Midday Team at lunchtime.
A new hutch for our fluffy friends!
Lots and lots of playground equipment.
New play items for Reception.
A brand new speaker for Funky Friday.
Like most PTFAs, we raise the majority of our funds through events. Our popular events include discos, the Little Elves workshop, Quiz nights, and the Summer Fair.
Parent donations are incredibly valuable. You can contribute time, money, items for sale, raffle prizes, or offers of services and skills. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
The PTFA committee decides how funds are spent. The Cheam Fields School Leadership Team typically provides a "wish list" of items they'd like us to consider funding. We also welcome input from parents! If you have an idea that would benefit all students, please share it with the committee.
