Monday 29th June, 5.15pm
This meeting is a chance for you to find out everything you need to know about your child starting school in September. We politely ask that you do not bring your child or any siblings to the meeting.
The welcome meeting will include valuable information about the school's expectations, curriculum, and routines. This knowledge equips you to better support your child's school experience.
You will be able to go into the Nursery classroom to meet the team. You can introduce yourself and ask any initial questions you might have about the setting.
The welcome meeting is a chance to connect with other parents whose children will be starting in Nursery. This can be a great way to build a support network, share experiences, and feel less alone, especially if you're new to the school or area.
Uniform will also be available to view and you will be able to sample our School Meals.

Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th July 3.30pm - 4pm
We are delighted to invite you and your child to visit the Nursery learning environment and explore the new setting. You are welcome to attend both sessions if you wish; there is no need to pre-book.
For your child: These sessions allow children to explore the environment and meet the teaching team and other children in a relaxed setting with you by their side. This familiarity helps reduce first-day jitters and sparks curiosity about school through activities and toys they will use in Nursery.
For you: Witnessing the setup and teaching methods can alleviate any anxieties you may have. These sessions are also a great way to meet other parents of children starting in Nursery, helping you build a support network.
These sessions offer a fantastic way to prepare for a smooth transition into Nursery by meeting the staff in a relaxed setting.
We carry out a home visit for all children starting in Nursery.
This visit is a chance for you to meet individually with members of the Nursery team in your home environment. A home visit before starting school offers several advantages:
Reduced Anxiety: Having the Nurseryteam visit them at home, where they feel comfortable and safe, can help your child feel more at ease about starting school.
Building Rapport: Interacting with the Nurseryteam outside of the school environment helps your child build a rapport and feel more comfortable asking for help later on.
Personalised Insights: During the visit, the Nurseryteam can observe your child playing with their favorite toys. This provides insights into your child's interests and learning style, which is helpful for planning future lessons.
One-on-One Communication: You can chat with the Nursery team individually to ask questions about the routines, or any specific concerns.
Information Sharing: The Nursery team will share information about the upcoming school experience and discuss any specific needs, such as allergies, in a private setting.
Partnership: The visit fosters a sense of partnership and opens the door for ongoing communication throughout the school year.
