We value the importance of each child being an individual and understand that they are on their own ‘unique’ learning journey. We believe that children's first experience of school, or a new setting, has a big impact on how they settle and subsequently their feelings about school. It is for this reason that we invest time in providing home visits to all children.
Nursery staff visit families prior to children starting school to gain a full understanding of the whole child. This will be a chance for you to meet individually with your child’s teacher in your home environment. This also gives an opportunity for parents to share valuable information, promote a smooth entry to Nursery and help build a positive relationship between school and home.

As we are a school nursery and to help with independence and safety, we ask that children DO wear uniform.
Please ensure everything is NAMED.
Uniform expectations
Jogging bottoms, leggings or shorts with an elasticated waist (elasticated rather than with buttons or zips to aid independence).
White T shirt or polo shirt (with or without school logo)
Red jumper or cardigan (with or without school logo)
Trainers with velcro fastenings
A light coat in warmer weather as well as a sunhat
A winter coat in colder weather
Milk and fruit/vegetables are provided daily for your child.
Please speak to the school office if your child has any dietary concerns.
Although we encourage children to attend school every day, we realise that sometimes children are unwell and therefore unable to come to school.
If your child is absent from school due to illness or a same day medical appointment, you must complete the google form below by 8.30am on each day of absence. We may contact you for more information or to ask for medical evidence.
At Cheam Common Infants' we offer wraparound care both before and after school.
The breakfast club runs from 7:30am until the start of school. The cost for a daily session is £6.50
The after school club runs from after school until 6.00pm. The daily session cost is £16.00

Pupil premium is additional funding allocated to all schools in England to support disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
This budget includes pupils who are currently entitled to free school meals, have been free school meals in the past six years (FSM ‘Ever Six’), children that are cared for or adopted from care and children whose parents are in the armed forces.
