The research activities of OPTIMALab focuse on developing and characterizing of solid-state laser materials, particularly ceramics and crystals, and the development of laser devices based on these materials for high-power emission and ultrashort pulse generation. Additional areas of expertise include time resolved (Time Correlated Single Photon Counting) and Temperature Resolved spectroscopic techniques for the characterization of materials and molecules. Recent research interests also extend to metasurfaces for optical applications. In this frame we focuse on design, simulation and optical characterization of metasurfaces designed for optics and sensing.
