To all our new students, we welcome you and your families to Kinston High School! Starting at a new school can be daunting, but our team is here to ensure that the enrollment process is smooth.

New enrollments should contact the counseling department at (252) 527-8067 ext.1125 or 5130 to schedule an enrollment appointment.

Documents to Bring to Your Enrollment Appointment:

• • The parent or legal guardian must accompany the student.

• • Withdrawal paperwork from previous school

  • A transcript of past credits from the previous school

• • Proof of local residency :

• • Birth Certificate

  • Social Security Card

  • Immunizations and Health Record

• • Any exceptional children's records or student plans

*Enrollment may not take place until we have proof of residency and immunization records.

A previous transcript is vitally important when registering your student in high school courses. Although enrollment may occur without previous records, a schedule will not be created for the student until we have record of their previously accrued credits. This is to ensure that the student is on track within the State of NC to graduate meeting our graduation requirements set forth by our State Board of Education.
