What fathers are saying about our Fundamentals of Fatherhood Program: "What I have liked the most about this class is being in a group of men who are all making an effort in becoming better fathers and better people."
• Classes are only once-a-week for ten weeks, on ZOOM, and they're FREE!
• Case management and employment services included
• All services are available in English and Spanish.
• Flyers and referral form are attached.
• Participants must reside in Service Planning Area 8 (SPA 8) or neighboring cities which include the communities of Athens, Avalon, Carson, West Carson, Catalina Island, El Segundo, Gardena, Alondra Park, Harbor City, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lawndale, Lennox, Long Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Dominguez, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, San Pedro, Torrance, Wilmington, Compton, Lynwood, Paramount, Bellflower, Lakewood, and Signal Hill.
Note: Due to recent changes in our program, the Fundamentals of Fatherhood program will no longer be offering incentives to clients for program completion. We are confident that the services offered, and support provided will be enough incentive to continue to engage fathers in our program, but I wanted to make sure everyone is aware as we continue to highlight this program with community. Thank you, as always, for championing this work. Have a wonderful day everyone!
The program is offered in English and Spanish. The program includes a Nurturing Fathers Parenting Class, Life Coaching/Case Management, and Employment Services. The classes are FREE and held online via zoom or in-person. In-person services are at our North Long Beach office located at Houghton Park.
