The Jazz program at LHS creates opportunities for students to learn the vocabulary and performance elements of Jazz and popular music styles. This course meets during 0 hour, and is open to instrumentalists that are in our Band classes, as well as students that play rhythm section instruments that aren't involved in our Band program. Lemont LEO club is a way for students to develop leadership skills, serve their community and have a good time. Students learn leadership by developing their skills as a project organizer, time manager, and team leader. Link Crew is a high school orientation and transition program that increases freshman success. Members of the junior and senior class are trained to be Link Crew Leaders who act as positive role models, motivators, student mentors and teachers helping guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during their high school transition.
Link Crew Leader training occurs during the last week of summer to prepare for the first day of school- Freshman Transition Day; meetings held throughout the school year, as needed. Juniors and Seniors are welcome (joining as Sophomores and Juniors)!

The Marching Band is composed of instrumental students from the Concert and/or Symphonic Bands and color guard members. Open to qualified performers, it rehearses daily and one evening per week during the fall semester. The Marching Band performs at select athletic events, school assemblies, and community functions throughout the year and also competes at local, and regional marching band contests.

The Lemont High School Mathlete Team is a competitive organization that exists to challenge and entertain mathematically interested High School students in high quality math competitions. We participate in the South Suburban Conference of Schools and at the Illinois Regional and State Levels. Our hope is that our students can explore more options to challenge themselves, promote growth in their problem-solving skills, and develop lifelong learning and appreciation of Mathematics.

Mu Alpha Theta is the United States Mathematics Honor Society for high schools and 2 year college students. At Lemont High School membership is open to students after the completion of Integrated Math II and enrolled in a level STEM Math. The purpose of the honor society is to further develop mathematical knowledge. The students enhance and support the math education at Lemont High School. Whether it is working in the Math Center, selling pies for Pi Day or learning about careers related to the mathematically field, Mu Alpha Theta members have great opportunities to learn and work together.

The Spring Musical offers students the opportunity to both perform on stage and/or work behind the scenes to bring the Lemont community the Broadway Musicals Genre. On stage opportunities include: acting, singing and dancing. Off stage opportunities include: sound, lighting, make-up, set-building, costumes, and backstage management.
The Musical begins in February with meetings in the PAC, rehearsals take place in the PAC, Choir, and Band rooms after school, 2:30-6:00, from February until May, anyone is welcome!

Newspaper creates and produces content for publication in the school newspaper (both digital and print versions). Students write, edit, design, photograph, and advertise as a part of this activity. Students also have an opportunity to compete in the IHSA Journalism State Series in the spring.
Newspaper (Tom-Tom, Journalism) is a class that students are welcome to take. Because of this, "meetings" are held every other day!
