Weekly Schedule

These estimated hours are for 1.0 FTE Scholars, and include both Core and Enrichment Subjects

• Kindergarten: 10 hrs/week
• 1st-3rd Grade: 20 hrs/week
• 4th-6th Grade: 25 hrs/week
• 7th-8th Grade: 30 hrs/week

Tracking Attendance

Parents/Guardians are responsible for tracking minutes per subject per week. Many families use an agenda-type calendar or a spreadsheet to track these hours throughout the week.

• Parents will log hours on our Attendance Form for each day their scholar participates in school.
  • All hours must be logged on our Attendance Form before 7:00 am on each Monday.
  • 2 consecutive weeks of non-compliance will result in an automatic "No Show" withdrawal from Leman Virtual Academy
• What counts & doesn’t count for Hours
  • Scholars must complete the following minimum amount of hours per week in each of the Core Subjects (ELA, Math, Science, History)
    • K: 1-2hrs/week
    • 1-3: 2-3hrs/week
    • 4-6: 3-4hrs/week
    • 7-8: 4-5hrs/week
  • Scholars may complete up to 5 hours/week in any Enrichment Course
    • PE
    • Art
    • Music
    • Latin
    • Alternative studies (Religious, Language, Electives)
• Holidays, Logging hours, and Taking time off
  • Teachers will provide lesson plans for Monday through Friday (except for Holidays, and otherwise noted School Breaks)
  • Scholars may log hours during non-school days
  • Please let Leman Virtual Academy and your teacher(s) know of any prolonged absences (more than 2 school days in a row) that scholars will NOT be able to participate in school activities (illness, family trip, etc.).
  • If a scholar misses less than 2 days, it is expected that they will catch up by the start of the next school week, and will be held accountable to do so
