New Families

Orientation

See the School Calendar for New Scholar Orientation and Enrollment Start Dates. New Scholars may not begin school until they have participated in a scheduled New Scholar Orientation (dates are indicated on the School Calendar).

New families will receive an invitation for New Scholar Orientation through email.

IMPORTANT: Prior to Orientation, make sure that the most recent version of Google Chrome is running on your computer, and that you use Chrome to access the Google Hangout Link that will be sent to you. Click HERE to download Chrome.

Onboarding

There are several things that happen during the onboarding process.

1. Accounts will be created for our School Portal. You will be required to login, and complete a series of assignments as a family (such as completing an internet safety course, committing to the program, practicing with how to utilize Schoology--see below--, etc.)
2. Meet the Teacher Our teachers will be reaching out to each family to welcome them prior to the start of classes. These will be virtual meetings.
3. Orientation You will be invited to an Orientation meeting with the Principal along with other scholars and their families within the same grade.
4. Receiving materials If you live close enough to one of the campuses to make arrangements to pick up supplies, we will be publishing pickup dates. If you do not live within 30 miles of one of our campuses, we will ship a box of materials to you. If you do not receive materials before your orientation, please contact the Principal, but please still attend your scheduled orientation.
