Music In Our Schools Month 2020: Music Changes Lives

It wasn't the Music In our Schools Month we had envisioned, but the Leland & Gray was recognized by the National Association for Music Education for participating in our first ever MIOSM. Led by the Tri-M Chapter, the students shared with the student body why music is important in our schools, prepared for our first ever WCSU Concert incorporating the elementary school choirs and bands, interviewed school and community members about their music experiences, and they had planned to perform at Valley Cares. While our performances didn't happen, our students have been very engaged in music the entire year, not just for MIOSM. Also, members of our Tri-M Chapter sent letters to residents at Valley Cares to let them know that even though we couldn't perform for them, we were still thinking about them.
