In the moral development lab, we study how children learn to understand others, care about them, and do the right thing by them.  Although we study the role of empathy, emotion regulation, and other socioemotiional competencies, we are mostly focused on how parents socialize caring behavior (or predjudice) in the context of the family.  

The Moral Development Lab is directed by Dr. Debbie Laible in the Psychology Department at Lehigh University, and is part of the Lehigh University Child & Adolescent Research Group.
