A conversation on CRISPR-Cas9
CRISPR-Cas9 is a relatively new gene editing technology that is quickly changing the way we approach medicine. It has the ability to modify existing genes in living organisms and in some controversial cases, alter descendants' DNA. Some argue that this technology is advancing too fast to be properly regulated. In this podcast, we will explore the differences between what the average person may know about science from pop culture and compare them against the facts.

Ancestry, race, eugenics, and human genomics
As genetic information becomes more readily available, it is important that educators and researches in the field of genetics, as well as the general public, be made aware of the field's past. This podcast features a discussion about the differences between race and ancestry as well as the unfortunate past of the field's ties to eugenics. This podcast additionally features an interview with Richard Tim.

CRISPR: Sci-Fi Vs. Reality
A four part podcast series providing knowledge on CRISPR and its applications.
by Mackenzie Hawes, Elora Marvasi, Ashley Paquin and Marley Sorbello
Episode 1: Introduction to CRISPR
A brief introduction into what DNA is, how CRISPR can change it, and why CRISPR is of particular interest.
Episode 2: Real Uses of CRISPR
This episode will discuss real life uses of CRISPR that are currently being used in trials. The instances covered are personalized medicine, potential COVID applications, and biohacking.
Episode 3: "Sci-Fi" Uses of CRISPR
A description of attention-grabbing examples of CRISPR that are either currently being used or may be used soon in the future. Main topics discussed include using ancient Wooly Mammoth DNA in elephant cells, xenotransplantation with pig organs, and exaggerated muscle growth in goats.
Episode 4: Ethical Considerations
A discussion of ethical concerns that arise with the use of CRISPR and an opportunity for listeners to form their own opinions on it. Concepts discussed include regulations and recommendations that the US made, if gene therapy should be approved, Dr. He's CRISPR twins, and where to draw the line between treatment and enhancement.
